I can't tell you how happy working with animals makes me. As anyone who has
ever known me can attest, I just can't get enough of them! Big ones, little
ones, old ones, young ones, furry ones, feathered ones, underwater ones…
After graduating from UCLA, I opened my own travel agency escorting people
to all 4 corners of the globe during the past 30+ years. Caring for animals in
some way, shape or fashion has always been my dream. Had I known then what
I know now, I would have become a Wildlife and/or Marine Biologist, Park
Ranger, Animal Behaviorist or perhaps a Veterinarian. But I didn't – so nine
years ago I made the life-changing decision to launch Penny Pampers Pets and
traded traveling Worldwide, Scuba Diving to exotic destinations, cruising,
especially to Antarctica twice, for a pooper scooper - and I've never been
happier! Perhaps, my next life change will be opening up a B & B with horse
corrals near a beach that allows dogs to romp!
Growing up in the rural suburbs of Chicago. I was the tomboy who brought
home the neighborhood strays. Migrated to Southern California at age 14 with
my Springer Spaniel, Nipper, & we both became “beach-a-holics!” My love of
creatures developed into a full-fledged passion owning so many favorites—
horses, bunnies, hamsters, lizards, ducks, chickens, birds, rescue dogs & cats,
aquariums…
A dream may remain just that - a dream – until you take action. Starting my
own pet sitting business is the best thing I've ever done for myself. Let me
share my never-ending optimism, pawsitive energy, fabulous pet-reports, and
great sense of humor with you and your pets. You'll be glad you called Penny
